about

Robert Gerosa's solo guitar music has been described as jazz rock meditative with a folk influence. Usually played on double neck or 12 string electric or acoustic guitar. He also has a long history of mostly improvised instrumental music in a jazz rock/progressive style usually as an electric guitar, bass and drums trio. He has plans for more solo and also group releases.

12 Strings On The Floor is some of the music which has been played live at yoga classes. I was getting requests for a recording of this stuff. So, this is a full set in order for a class but without the all improv music for the rest period at the end. This music is basically chord melody with some improvisation but is not jazz. Although, it has been compared to some ECM label jazz.

Yoga Culture Intro 2 is the second version of this song. When playing for yoga classes there would only be 15 minutes between classes. So, I had to get in and set up fast and play. I came up with this as an on the fly sound check and would start with this with open strings, harmonics, ebow, etc.

We Always Go To The Parade is about going with my kids to my town's 4th of July parade for the last 20 years.

If You Say So Infinite is a tribute to John Abercrombie. I'd always play his Characters album before any gig, jam or recording to get my mind in the right place to play.

Lilacs and Pink Carnations were my Grandmother's favorite flowers. I wrote this when I was 14 and it's the first song I ever wrote. I still play it as I first did.

Someone described my solo music as jazz rock meditative. I'd add folk.
